Congratulations! You've made it halfway through 9th Grade! With mid-terms over and Term 2 grades in the books, it's time for us to look ahead to Semester 2. This semester all classes will be reading To Kill a Mockingbird and Romeo and Juliet. Along with these two major texts, we will have a much greater focus on literary argument in our writing. We will be using the terminology we've built over the first semester to look at writer's purpose and audience and how these both impact the author's delivery of their theme. Besides the two major texts, we will also be reading poetry, short stories, and continuing with our Friday informative articles of the week.
