As we roll into our research paper unit, we are going to be doing a series of mini-lessons. Many of these concepts are topics you have seen before, but now, we are taking these concepts to the next level.
On Tuesday, we will be reviewing MLA Format for paper set-up and citations. This is material you have seen before, but I continue to see mistakes in the formatting in papers. For the research paper, it is essential that everyone follows the proper format. It is important to get in the habit of using this format now, as you will need it through high school and college.

Remember, MLA format also applies to the way that we cite our sources. We will be looking into that carefully, as well. I will be providing a number of resources to help you with your citations and making sure you avoid plagiarism. If you get stuck on format, here are some tools for you to use.
