This week, students in Periods E&G wrapped up their reading of Of Mice and Men. We had a test on Tuesday and now students are working on their first major writing assignment - a short story.
We have been able to spend several days in the computer lab using the Google Docs program, which has been a great help. This program allows students to share their work with me, and it gives me the ability to watch the students work live. I can offer suggestions and make comments on the papers to help students see right away what they can do to make their writing stronger.
Period C will get into the computer lab to work on their character analysis next week and Period D, the following week. All classes will be using Google Docs.

Period E/G: Printed copies of your rough draft must be brought to class on Tuesday. These must be printed and ready to go by the time you get here!
