Last Week of Term 1!

It is hard to believe, but we are just about a quarter of the way through the school year already.  Term 1 grades officially close this Friday, and report cards will go home next week.  It is very important that all students stay on top of their assignments and make sure to get all work in on time this week, as there is no room for getting work in late.

As we come to the end of the first term, students will be asked to take some time in class this week to reflect on their progress in their first few months of high school.  This is a great time to think about the goals students have set for themselves and how they are doing with these goals two months into the school year.  It is still early, so students still have time to adjust their goals for the remainder of the school year, as well.  For those students who maybe aren't quite where they would like to be, now is really the time to think about staying after and taking advantage of the extra help that is available to them after school because as we continue to move on, we are going to be picking up the pace and entering more challenging territory with our writing and analysis of literature.  Remember, I am always after school on Mondays, and if that does not work, we can find another day during the week that is convenient for you, too!
