Hi Blue Team! Welcome to your first official day of high school! Hope you enjoyed your extra day of summer vacation and are rested up for a fun year!
I am sure you are feeling a mix of emotions right now - nervousness, excitement, and after your first day, maybe a bit overwhelmed. No worries, though - you are going to get through this year just fine. All it takes is a positive attitude and your best effort!
I will be sending home a detailed course overview and expectations for English class this week, but to start, just remember a few things:
1) Be respectful
2) Be on time to class
3) Be prepared (ALWAYS have your binder with paper, a pen/pencil, and your book)
I look forward to getting to know you all as you begin your high school adventure! Remember, while you are here to learn, PSHS is more than a school, it is a community with many activities, clubs, and sports for you to get involved in outside of class. Being involved in the PSHS community will only enhance your high school experience, so if you have an interest or hobby, ask around to find out if there is a club, team, or organization for you!
